The value of life insurance

I remember when my dad died suddenly at age forty two. I was eighteen years old at the time. He was a responsible person and had life insurance coverage. Life insurance is to help a family when they lose a "breadwinner" in a family. My mother and our family mourned his loss, but because of the life insurance, didn't have to worry about how to pay bills. Money never takes the place of a person you love in your life. However, I can distinctly remember the assurance my mother had that she wouldn't lose the family home or not be able to pay for necessities.

I believe that is why insurance is so important to me and why I have made my career in insurance claims. I always remember that there is a person and a family on the other side of every claim. Whether it is life insurance or disability or any other type of insurance, I know that I am helping a person or persons through a very difficult point in their life.
