Stephen Covey, in his timeless book "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People", is a handbook for leadership and personal development. Covey's habit number seven is sharpen the saw. This means to take time to renew, physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally by taking time for yourself.

I had the wonderful privilege of spending a few days at Beaver Lake in Arkansas, to sharpen the saw. No cell service, no agenda, just my wife and I at our retreat at the lake. An opportunity to float in the beautifully clear water and to fish and just relax, away from the stresses of the world.

What are some things you do to "sharpen the saw"?

Here I am, combining two activities I love floating and fishing.
